You can’t have these naughty number plates on your car!

Did you know that every year the DVLA (Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority) has to ban certain number plates that can be seen to be offensive or unsuitable. It has to do this before every half yearly registration change checking for any registrations which can be read to have foul/offensive language, political or religious discrimination or be of a sexual or homophobic nature. As there are some numbers which appear like letters in the alphabet it is quite possible to create a number plate which may seem funny to some but offensive to others.

If a “naughty number plate” slips through the net it is possible for the DVLA to force it’s removal and to replace it with a normal registration and once a number plate is banned that ban will never be lifted!
